Dementia Caregiver Education Series | Understanding Alzheimer’s and Neurocognitive Disorders

The Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter, in collaboration with Day Kimball Healthcare and Day Kimball Homecare, presents a four-part education series for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and their care partners.

These programs, held monthly, will be offered in person and can be provided virtually for those not able to attend in person. Attendance at each session is encouraged but not required. Light refreshments will be served.

All programs in this four-part series will be held on Mondays from 6 to 8 pm:

  • September 9, 2024 Understanding Alzheimer’s and Neurocognitive Disorders

  • October 21, 2024 Building Foundations of Caregiving | Communicating Effectively

  • November 18, 2024 Providing Personal Care | Responding to Behaviors
    • Daily Living Tips and Managing Personal Care Needs Presented by Siana Green, Occupational Therapist
    • Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors Presented by Kim Durand, RN, MSN *Alzheimer's Association Program

  • December 16, 2024 Legal & Financial Planning | Exploring Care and Support Services
    • Legal & Financial Planning Presented by Probate Judge/Attorney Gabrielle Labonte
    • Exploring Care and Support Services Presented by Kim Durand, RN, MSN *Alzheimer's Association Program
